In the IT industry we have this idea that we can remove our systems from the chaos of real life, either through careful consideration of architecture or attention to detail in modelling. Thus we should create simple, or at least maintainable systems.
We all know this isn’t what we face in our professional lives, where even the seemingly smallest detail can cause huge delays and complications.
